Coming in the 2018-2019 Season!
A Most Curious Phenomenon
by Alan Haehnel
Why do people fall in love? Find out when two scientists and an unsuspecting audience member examine why Sarah, an extremely smart teenager, is crying on her bed over a boy! Even the adults will identify with the complexities of love!
Featuring the WWTC and MTC Contest Pieces
Brought together because they have been forced from their various homelands, a groupe of women decide to stage a production of the ancient Greek play, The Trojan Women. The Refugee Women examines the struggles that a diverse group of refugees face when they are exiled from their native lands, making one wonder if their experiences are any different from those of the women from Ancient Troy. This is a great piece for middle and high school students as well as adults and brings together history, civics, and literature in a theatrical presentation!
January 24 and 25
Join us for our annual game-style improvisational theatre event! Audience members of all ages are invited to sit on the stage of the Munster Auditorium in an intimate, comedy club-style setting, where they will be invited to offer suggestions for our performers throughout the night. This event is a free event, but donations will be taken to support our students' costs to attend the International Thespian Festival in June.
We wrap up our season with this Tony-award winning musical! It's 1962, and Tracy Turnblad, a plus-sized teen from Baltimore, has won a chance to be on the "Corny Collins Show." Suddenly, this former outcast meets a diverse (literally) group of characters, and she uses her newfound fame to teach Baltimore and the world that you can't judge a book by its cover!
Tickets for our scripted shows will be available for advance purchase on munaud.booktix.com. You'll save time in line as well as money on your tickets by doing so!
